Temperaments/personality

Now If any one knows me, they know I am not a supporter of the temperament society, especially the Ancient Greek temperaments. If I would be it would be more along of the lines of the Id, Ego, Super Ego, with me being of course the Super Ego .

Nevertheless, everyone in my church is so into the four Ancient Greek Temperaments, (which let me say is not even is discussed in most psychology classes, because it is so ancient). So I thought my family would take the Ancient Greek personality test. So here is the outcome.

So with all the Sanguines in our home, plus the dictators. Our dwelling is not a quiet one to some. It is quiet to us.

Let Us Prey

That is exactly what two of my bad girls did. I have been having to buy cheap dog food for the last month due to being unemployed. I start a back to work on Monday at my former job on a PRN(as needed) basis. Still need a full time gig though.

Anyway, Libby my Redbone/Aussie Shepard mix and Sasha my Heinz 57

                                          Decided they wanted Hasenpfeffer Stew.

They even had a tomato out of the garden. to throw into the pot.

Nevertheless, this is what Pepper was doing during the murder of Peter Rabbit.

Death By Chocolate Turtle Cookie Recipe

Sami won second place in the 13-18yr group,  at the Fairhaven Baptist Church Anniversary Sunday Cookie Bake off.
Here is the recipe. And yes, they are as good as they look.

Ingredients

Cookie:
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/4 tsp. salt
8 T. (1 stick) butter, softened
2/3 c. sugar
1 large egg, separated, plus 1 additional egg white
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 c. pecans, finely chopped
Caramel Drizzle:
14 soft caramel candies (I used Kraft Traditional Caramels)
3 T. heavy cream
Chocolate Filling :
1 bag of Milk Chocolate chips (I used Nestle Tollhouse)
1 tsp. oil

Directions
Prepare the Cookies:
1.  Combine flour, cocoa, and salt; set aside.

2.  With electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add egg yolk, milk, and vanilla; mix until incorporated. Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture until just combined.

3.  Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, 1 hour.
4.  Whisk egg whites in a bowl until frothy.  Place chopped pecans in another bowl.  Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls, dip in egg whites, and then roll in pecans.  Place balls about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Using a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon, make an indentation in the center of each dough ball.

5.  Bake at 350 degrees until set, about 12 minutes.
Prepare the Chocolate Filling:
6.  Combine vegetable oil and half a bag of milk chocolate chips into a microwave container, and melt to a smooth creamy consistency.

7.. Once cookies are removed from oven. Place on a cool rack and then fill each indentation with 1/2tsp of chocolate.

Prepare the Caramel Drizzle:
8.  Microwave caramels and cream together in a small bowl, stirring occasionally, until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.

9..  Drizzle caramel over the cookies as desired.

Makes about 15 cookies.
Enjoy your death by chocolate turtle cookies

What can happen in a decade? My top 10 list

At the end of this month I will be in North West Indiana (Porter County) a decade. What has happened in the last 10 years?
Well here is a

9. We adopted some puppies

8. We lost some dear loved ones. My nephew Mark
Grandpa and Grandma McNabb, Uncle Pat, and fellow church members, to name a few.

7.We started working on a bus route.

6. The girls grew up.

Well Maybe

5. My oldest daughter Rachel survived the youth group, and Fairhaven Baptist Academy (ha ha)

4. My daughter's both accepted Christ as their Savior, and has had serious spiritual growth.

3. Made some life time friends

2. As a couple, as a family we grew closer together

1. Thing that happened this decade, as a Family we drew closer to God and our Lord Jesus Christ, then we ever have could imagine. We attend a wonderful church, with a pastor that Preaches the truth out of love, not vengeance.
Thank you God for leading us here and allowing us to be ministered in such a great church. Thank you Fairhaven Baptist Church for all you have meant to us. I don't know where this family would be without such a great place to worship our Lord. Thank you God for letting me be able to come back.

Forgiveness

Read this quote this morning, kinda liked it so I thought I would share

"Forgiveness isn't for the person who did the wrong, but for our hearts not to grow bitter."
